Custom Art
I love taking custom orders. I've done a few over the last 20 years and have been keeping quite busy with custom pieces of late! The etched glass on either side of this text box is part of the railing to my stairs and second floor balcony. It was very time consuming and required my full attention. However, I loved doing it. Dreamweaver on Elk Hide
This is my current custom project. On a full size elk hide, I am painting a dreamweaver. This project started with some research, then a few sketches including proper measurements given the elk hide size, and only then did I start with a light pencil sketching on the hide itself.
Eagle on Elk Hide
I was asked to sketch an Eagle on Elk hide as tribute to a beloved father. It was a touching request. I had only one hide so had to be very careful. There was no room for mistake. I kept it simple, yet elegant.
South Coast Oregon View
This is one of many views as you drive north or south on highway 101 along the Pacific Ocean. Projects like this start with a photograph, then the photograph's print, and then a break down grid by grid. I sketched this one grid at a time. It was slow and very detailed, but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute!
